Zohra Usmani is an an IBA graduate and former civil servant who retired as Joint Director of the Civil Services Academy of Pakistan. She is a lifelong storyteller whose words have quietly captured the textures of changing times. Raised in post-Partition Pakistan, she navigated the corridors of government, the joys and trials of motherhood, and the complex beauty of diasporic life in America with grace and grit in equal measure.

Her writing, at once intimate and insightful, moves effortlessly between memory and reflection — from the laughter of family life to the quiet resilience that shapes a woman’s inner world. Whether recounting her own coming-of-age, preserving family lore for future generations, or reflecting on faith and friendship, Zohra writes with warmth, candour, and a keen eye for the telling detail.
